It’s the dress debate all over again!!
You may remember some time ago a certain blue and black dress took the internet by storm. Yes, it was blue and black get over it. Now, an adidas jacket is doing the same.
Mariam aka @zaynsmind on twitter posted a proud picture of her new jacket on twitter and suddenly the colour started causing mass confusion, it’s the dress all over again!
The science behind it comes down that the way that human eyes have evolved to view colour in a world where the main source of light is sunlight.
We see the objects around us because light bounces off them and back onto our retinas.
The brain has learnt to register what colour the actual light source is and then subtract that colour from the actual colour of the object.
So what colour is the jacket? I see a black/green jacket with brown trefoil and stripes. Others apparently see blue and white…
